This tool compresses JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) data files. JSON files, typically used for storing and transmitting structured data, often contain unnecessary spaces and indentation for human readability. However, when they are transmitted over networks or saved on storage servers, these extra spaces increase the file size, resulting in longer loading times and higher resource consumption. This tool solves this problem. It removes all these unnecessary extra spaces and tabs, significantly reducing file sizes without changing the basic data structure. Minify a Complex JSON Object

This example minifies a complex JSON object. The input contains nested objects and arrays representing a hierarchical data structure for a MUD game. The JSON minifier removes the extra spaces and compacts the code structure, reducing the overall file size without altering the data structure itself.

Minify a Social Media Post

In this example, we load JSON data representing a social media post, including comments. Currently, it has an indented structure, which is very convenient for readability and editing. However, for storing this data on the server, readability is not important; instead, compactness is needed. Therefore, we minify the JSON file by removing all unnecessary spaces and line breaks from it, saving a lot of bytes per post.

Compress a Silly JSON Array

In this example, we compress a silly JSON array containing two empty sub-arrays. The original JSON includes one level of unnecessary whitespace for indentation, but we really don't need it. By running the JSON via this tool, we get a new JSON, which has the same semantics and underlying data structure but doesn't have these extra spaces, resulting in a neat single line of code.
